This week the 4th Governing Board of the @Training Institute on Migration Capacity Partnership for the Mediterranean – MCP Med TI took place.
Held in Amman under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Interior of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 🇯🇴, the event was opened by H.E. Minister of Interior, Mr. Mazin Abdellah Hilal Al Farrayeh, who was joined by representatives from our donor countries, namely Malta, Denmark, Austria, and the @European Union, and Southern Partner Country delegates from Jordan, Lebanon, and Tunisia. Donors and partners alike came together to collaboratively steer the strategic course of the Training Institute, serving not only as a forum for deliberation but also as a platform to showcase the progress made in the #professionalisation of migration vocational education.
Among the achievements highlighted was:
– The creation of 27 novel courses responding to our partners’ needs, with 13 attaining European accreditation;
– The training of 475 students from the region and the EU resulting in 365 qualifications;
– The establishment of a network of 51 authorised trainers, and
– The European licensing of 11 premises.
– And remains committed to more!
This Governing Board also saw the election of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as the new chair for the Governing Board. We would like to congratulate and thank our new chair, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and express our sincere gratitude to our outgoing chair Malta for the steadfast support it has shown and still shows to the Training Institute.
It has been an honour and a pleasure to engage in collaborative efforts with our partners and donors. The Training Institute’s journey exemplifies that real partnerships lead to real results, underscoring the essence of the #MigrationCapacityPartnerships strategy.
