It covers reintegration governance, labor market integration, skills recognition, entrepreneurship support, and community-based approaches, emphasizing rights-based, inclusive, and gender-responsive practices.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the key concepts of return, reintegration, sustainability, and diaspora within the global migration governance framework.
  • Identify and explain the economic, social, and psychosocial factors that influence reintegration and sustainability outcomes.
  • Apply safeguarding, gender equality, non-discrimination, and do-no-harm principles in exercises, casework, and institutional planning.
  • Demonstrate understanding of reintegration principles and apply them to improve the effectiveness and consistency of work.
  • Use Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) tools to identify, document, and describe returnee competencies in line with established occupational standards.
  • Complete a basic Reintegration Action Plan by outlining objectives, activities, budget elements, risks, and formulating simple SMART indicators with guidance.
