Real-world scenario in diaspora engagement

Objective: Simulate a real-world scenario where learners, acting as diplomatic staff in a diplomatic representation, create actionable initiatives in specific sectors.

Description: Based on the capstone project approach, the trainer randomly assigns a sector and country of destination to each trainee. Each learner comes up with an actionable initiative and presents it to the trainer and other learners on the last day of the programme.

This approach aims to assess a wide range of skills and knowledge in a context that closely mirrors real-world situations. It provides a holistic evaluation, gauging learners’ critical thinking skills, problem-solving, communication, research, data analysis, and application of knowledge and concepts whilst offering hands-on experiences.

The evaluation grid below provides a structured framework for assessing various aspects of the learner’s deliverable. It outlines the criteria and standards by which the initiative will be evaluated, helping ensure consistency in the assessment process.
