This fully online award programme is a digitally enhanced version of an accredited face-to-face course, combining self-paced (asynchronous) learning with live (synchronous) sessions through a bichronous model.

It aims to develop participants’ leadership knowledge, skills, and confidence through interactive activities and practical exercises, preparing them to lead teams effectively and make a positive impact.

The course consists of six instructional modules, each incorporating Self-Guided Learning, an online classroom session and a formative assessment (referred to in the course as the “graded end-of-module assessment”) articulated as follows:

Learning Outcomes

  • Define leadership and explain its importance for organisational success.
  • Describe the (4) four elements that make up the leadership process (according to Dunham & Pierce) and explain why leadership may be viewed as a process.
