About Course

This four-day training programme builds knowledge and practical skills in international labour migration, focusing on public–private cooperation. It covers cross-border labour mobility, key stakeholders, and relevant legal and human rights frameworks.

Through interactive, learner-centred activities and a Capstone Policy Lab, participants analyse partnerships, regulatory standards, and rights-based practices, culminating in a final assessment to demonstrate real-world application.

Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the main drivers of international labour migration using key frameworks such as the Push–Pull Model and Human Capital Theory.
  • Describe the respective roles of public and private sectors in managing migration, including their legal and institutional responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully in group exercises to analyse a provided labour-migration governance scenario, following tutor instructions and agreed ground rules.
  • Take responsibility for completing assigned tasks within group work (e.g., stakeholder mapping, identifying applicable standards) using tutor-provided worksheets and checklists.
  • Apply gender and human rights perspectives to interpret migration policies and workplace practices, using provided guidelines and examples.
  • Apply CSR and Governance Theory principles to review cooperation between public and private actors, using a tutor-provided checklist.
