Earlier this month, the Award in Migration Policy Development Essentials training was delivered in Amman, Jordan, at the Training Institute on Migration Capacity Partnership for the Mediterranean (MCP Med TI) licensed premises within the Ministry of Interior of Jordan.
Delivered under the framework of the Regional Migration Governance Programme (RMGP), this training was organised as a joint activity with the MIDAM III project (implemented by ICMPD in Jordan), as well as the CCSO NEKRIF project and the RMGP Tunisia Component (both implemented by ICMPD in Tunisia).
The course brought together participants from Tunisia’s Ministry of Interior, represented by institutions in charge of border management, international relations, and cooperation, together with the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Finance. From Jordan, participants represented the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Education, and the Public Security Directorate.
Over five days, they deepened their understanding of public policy processes, explored data-driven approaches to policy design and evaluation, examined migration policy fundamentals and global challenges, and strengthened their capacity to develop evidence-based policy briefs.
👏 Warm thanks to our colleagues at ICMPD in Jordan and ICMPD in Tunisia for their excellent coordination and support, and to our authorised trainers and all participants for their strong engagement.
